| Clarification | We are in receipt of your letter dated April 18, 2019 where you identified issues on our Statement of Organization form (D1). In subsequent discussion with you and our attorney, we realized that we filed the forms incorrectly. As you can see from the attached bank statements, our committee has two accountsone that we use for political purposes which would require disclosure to the State Board of Elections, and one that we use for public relations purposes and does not require that we report it to the State Board of Elections. As you can see on the attached statements, these accounts are separate. The combined amounts of these funds exceeded $5,000, but the fund that our PAC used to make political expenditures only exceeded $5,000 on January 8, 2019, when the balance on the account (Called Opportunity Plus in the attached) went from $4,573.02 to $5,189.02. The next month, the PAC spent $2,800 out of that account on election-related materials. We are attaching an amended Statement of Organization (D1) form as well as amended Report of Campaign Contributions and Expenditures (D2) for the first and second quarters of 2019. |
